What is Sport Karting? Sport Karting refers to the highly competitive arrive and drive kart racing, both indoor and outdoor, that has begun to evolve around the world over the past decade. With all equipment being prepared to an identical spec and provided to the drivers, it can be argued that Sport Karting is the 'purist' form of kart racing competition as the only variable that exists on-track is the talent behind each wheel. [May 17, 2012] - Round 5 of the 2012 British Rental Kart Championship was held in dry conditions at Teesside Autodrome. [May 9, 2012] - Round 5 of the CalSpeed Super Series featured yet another massive sold out field of 100 drivers, as the usual front-runners all looked to reel in current championship points leader Logan Calvin. Joining the group of CalSpeed veterans in Round 5 would be an influx of nearly 30 first-time Super Series racers, all aiming to shake things up throughout the field. [April 26, 2012] - The 2012 ‘Petit Machismo’ 8-Hour Team Endurance will go into the books as the closest and most exciting race in the event’s young history. In the final hour onlookers would witness a spirited drive from Pro Class pilot Taylor Hays [T4 Autosport ], as he cut the deficit to a leading Aaron Downs [SPV Racing]from a comfortable 40 seconds, to a mere 5.2 seconds by the time the checkered flag was in the air. Downs would hold on just long enough to secure the victory for the SPV boys, finally giving the squad its first Pro Class win. [April 19, 2012] - Unlike twelve months previously, the 2012 Herefordshire Raceway round was held under cloudy but predominantly blue skies. The track remained dry throughout the proceedings, and once each driver had completed their allocated three heats, it was local man Lee Hackett who was sitting pretty on pole position at his home track.
